It is a linear low density polyethylene stretchable plastic film that is wrapped around an item for protection. Shrink Film - Shrink Wrap - Package Wrap etc... is a polymer plastic film that when heated shrinks tightly around an item. Most commonly applied to the product and cut to size on an L-Bar Sealer to cut and seal the seams, it is then transported through a heat tunnel to shrink the material to the product. Most commonly used for item protection and commercial display of consumer products such as DVD's, CD's, Toys and games.
