The LD-XSS is a semi automatic uniform case sealing machine constructed of
304 stainless steel. It was specifically designed to excel in wash down environments.
Made with USDA and FDA recommended materials. The LD-XSS is sealed 304 stainless steel tubing with continuous welds to discourage water pooling. Constructed with minimal overlapping joints and 1/2" standoffs to allow the passage of water. A 1 year warranty is included on all components and a 2 year warranty with the gear reducer.
This machine will receive, from your operator, uniform size regular slotted
corrugated containers with all flaps folded and closed prior to infeed.
The case will be processed and 2" wide pressure sensitive tape, of commercially
good quality, will be applied to the top and bottom center seams with leading and
trailing tape tabs that are 2-1/4" to 2-1/2" in length on the vertical panels of
the case. The case will then be discharged onto your exit conveyor. Bottom belt drive
will propel the case through the taping process.

The production speed of the LD-XSS is approximately 25 containers per minute based on a 24" long case.
However, throughput speeds of a semi automatic machine can only be determined by operator efficiency and
length of time necessary for packing. The belt speed of this equipment is approximately 80 feet per minute.
The product inside the case or void fill material must support all flaps and panels on the cases to be processed.
Any void or overfill conditions could result in box jams and/or poor tape application. It is understood that all
cases to be processed will be new and of sound integrity. Damaged or ripped corrugated will inhibit tape heads from
applying tape consistently and effectively.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
Since its introduction, the LD-Xss case sealer has been supplied with PVC belts, a material that is friendly to wash down. Recently some customers have experienced issues of boxes stalling and it has been determined that the PVC material in some cases will increase the chances of a box slipping. Loveshaw engineering has tested a new belt utilizing a rubber compound that has solved this problem.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
Loveshaw is supplying all LD-Xss case sealers with the improved belt.
The part number of the new belt is: LDW-0057A-4
If a you have the PVC belts and are experiencing or experienced box stalling, Loveshaw will replace the belts with the new rubber belts free of charge.
